Clear Your Head With a Walk in Nature

Clear Your Head With a Walk Through Nature.  Whenever I need to clear my head or think a problem through, I head out into nature.  Out in the woods, up on a mountain, or at the beach, is where I find my inner peace.

One of the things I love about life is that I know I can find a piece of land or natural, organic beauty anywhere, even in the rubble of the city.  Sometimes I get overwhelmed or stressed out and the quickest cure for that is a walk through nature.

This is my secret place to talk to the fairies, God/Goddess, the angels, and the ascended masters.  It's where I am constantly communicating, easily and frequently, with the Other Side.

I find myself at home in nature.  It's a great place to walk and repeat affirmations, to pray, and to just clear my mind of the clutter that life constantly brings.  In short, it's a walking meditation!

How to Get the Most Out of Nature

To get the most out of your walking nature experience, minimize all distractions. You'll want to leave the cell phone locked in the car if you can.

You'll want to leave the i-pod at home.  You'll want to find a babysitter for your kids or, if they are old enough, leave them at home alone.

This is your time and it belongs to you and you alone!  You'll want to try out different routes, different parks, and backdrops, and to really maximize your experience, you may just want to bring your camera along!

Learn Something About Nature Parks

Use this time to learn something that you never knew.  Many nature parks are preserved and have learning stations everywhere so that you can gather information about your favorite plants, animals, and sometimes even insects!

You can even take your nature walk to the beach if you live close enough.  Have you ever been to the beach when you were in a bad mood?  Did you notice that bad mood disappear instantly?

The beach is another great way to scorch calories, even if you're walking slowly through the sand or ankle deep in the waves.  In this way, you're amplifying your total nature experience!

While you're at the beach or park, you may just discover a brightly colored seashell or flower that you never knew existed before.  The other day, as I was walking along the Pinellas Trail in Florida, hidden in the grass were some bright pink Dr. Seuss styled flowers!

Another time, on a hike in the red mountains of Sedona, Arizona, we saw the coolest beetle that looked like it was only half painted!  These types of experiences are rare and one-of-a-kind.

Look For Signs of Nature

Walking through nature could be your body's way of trying to tell you something important.  It might mean, you should slow down and smell the roses or pick the flowers.

It's a holistic way of healing your body, mind, and spirit through spiritual means.  Now that I'm done writing this, I think I'll go take a walk through some local nature here in the South!

P.S.
Where do you live and how do you find the nature in it?
